Support Our Work

Our work depends on you

Lutheran Campus Ministry depends on the generosity of people like you. Our volunteers and donors are what enable us to walk with students through their college years, to provide safe space for students looking for a place to hang out, to build community and, most importantly, to share the love of Christ with students, faculty and staff. Scroll down for stories from our donors and more information on where your money goes when you donate to Lutheran Campus Ministry at UW.

Why give?

Picture
"Campus ministry is important to me because it is a refuge and escape from all of the chaos that is college. While college presents many new opportunities and experiences, it also presents times of struggle and hardships. Campus ministry is a place where I can go and be a part of a community of peers and spend time in worship, remembering the Lord is always looking out for me... Lutheran Campus Ministry is important to me because I know my faith and Christianity give me strength and direction in my life. I am far from a religious zealot, but having a Christian foundation in my life will never be taken from me and will be with me wherever I may go." - Matt Hill, class of 2014

"Having a place like The Sanctuary at UW is so important to me. It's a place where I can relax and feel at east, make friends, and eat super good food (a definite plus). I also really appreciate the fact that the building is nearly always open, so if I ever need a quiet and cozy place to study or hang out I've got somewhere to go. I also value the different volunteer and outreach activities that we're provided. It's not always convenient to volunteer or help others, but Lutheran Campus Ministry makes it about as simple as possible.
Lutheran Campus Ministry has been a great way for me to stay connected to my faith life without consuming the rest of my life." -- Keena Bean, class of 2013, Account Coordinator at Firmani + Associates
